For over 25 years, I have helped clients manage and heal from mental health challenges. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside many incredible people, each of whom has contributed to my professional growth in ways formal training never could. I bring genuine passion and compassion to this work, and I’m grateful for the remarkable people I support.

It’s one of the few professions where you form meaningful therapeutic connections with people you’d be honored to call friends.

I began my career as a researcher and prenatal counselor at Yale University. There, I decided to focus on counseling and earned my degree in counseling psychology.

Over the years, I’ve worked with adults, children, couples, and individuals navigating everything from serious mental illness to life’s everyday transitions.

Outside of work, I live in Virginia with my husband and our 15-year-old dog, Sam. We raised three children together. I’m a Christian, though my faith is just one of many lenses through which I see the world.

Misty Davis has been a professional counselor for twenty-five years. She spent five of those years providing prenatal counseling at Yale University and has also counseled clients in several psychiatric hospitals.

New Hope does not bill insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service, and New Hope accepts the following:

Upon request, I can provide a superbill – an itemized receipt with the diagnostic and procedure codes needed to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits.
