IIH counseling has several requirement that must be met in order for Medicaid to pay NDCS. Most private insurance plans do not pay for IIH.
Medicaid requires that the child be At-Risk for removal because of aggression, disobedience or other misbehaviors, that the child and family have tried less intensive services such as outpatient counseling but the child continues to act out. The child must be between the ages of 4 and 22 years.
